About the Division

Geography and Environmental Management is a highly skilled, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary division that offers a successful range of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development (CPD) courses, teamed with an excellent research, enterprise and public engagement profile.

Staff with expertise in geography, physical geography, human and cultural geography, environmental management, sustainability, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing deliver a range of highly regarded courses to provide varied opportunities to suit individual interests and aspirations. Courses have a strong vocational element, with particular emphasis placed on UK and overseas field activities, placements with relevant organisations, opportunities to study overseas and embedding of key employability skills such as project management, effective communication, teamwork and professional development.
