The School runs very successful taught Postgraduate Degrees offering Masters by Research, Masters, Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) and Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) awards. The degrees are modular and progessive, suited to both continuing professional development and to research oriented masters.
The taught Masters by Research programme is weighted strongly towards the research based dissertation element of the programme but still has a taught element.
The School also offers professional Masters education in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) through its internationally renowned distance learning UNIGIS programme (UNIGIS site).
The School also has an extensive research training programme within the broad areas of Biological, Chemical, Environmental and Geographical Sciences leading to the awards of Master by Research, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
