Centre for Earth & Ecosystem Responses to Environmental Change (CEEREC)
Research within the Centre for Earth & Ecosystem Responses to Environmental Change (CEEREC) is focused on quantifying and modelling contemporary earth and ecosystem responses to recent and projected near-future environmental and climatic change, and on the interpretation of records of past climatic and environmental change within a range of terrestrial and marine environments. Research within the Centre is highly multi-disciplinary and international in its extent. Our on-going externally funded research programmes involves work not only in the UK, but also across Europe, and within North and South America, the Caribbean region, Africa, Australia and SE Asia. Our research is supported through a wide range of funding agencies and environmental organisations including; The Natural Environment Research Council, European Union, The Leverhulme Trust, The Royal Society, Defra, Joint Natural Conservancy Council, and The Environment Agency, and external partner organisations such as United Utilities, BG Group, NE England Zoological Society and The Loro Parque Foundation.
CEEREC research is focused around the following thematic areas:
Applied
